Solution: Basic Payment Solution - Medical

You can manage configuration settings for your Basic Payment Solution - Medical application, including whether to display the signature  request electronically during a transaction, adding and managing who can use the app, and enabling demonstration mode to assist with training your employees. Some settings are intended for troubleshooting purposes only. 

To access Settings, tap Menu > Settings:

Signature settings

To capture a signature for a credit card purchase at the point of sale, toggle on Enable e-Signature prompt.

  1. Tap Menu Settings.

  2. Enter the password.

  4. Tap to toggle on the Enable e-Signature prompt.

Manage clerks

You can manage the users of your Basic Payments Medical app. Reports can then provide sales, discounts, cash and other information by employee.

  1. Tap Menu Settings.

  2. Enter the password.

  3. Tap Manage clerks.

  4. Choose an option:

    select to view add or delete a clerk

    View clerks

    Add clerks

    Delete clerks


    View a list of current servers and their ID numbers.

    Enter a Clerk name and a Clerk ID (up to 4 digits), then tap Confirm
    add a clerkYou can then add another server or view the list of clerks.

    Remove a server by selecting the Clerk ID, then tap Delete. Tap Delete again to confirm.

This setting is for troubleshooting purposes only.

Manual database clear

If there are difficulties with closing your batch, you can manually clear transactions from your terminal. 

Manually clear the database


  1. Tap Menu Settings.

  2. Enter the password.

    Enter manager password
  3. Tap Manual database clear.

  4. Select a clear option:

    select the data to clear

    Transaction number

    Reversal

    Offline


    Tap Clear by transaction number, then enter a transaction number, then tap Confirm.

    Tap Clear reversal and then tap Confirm.

    Tap Clear offline, then tap Confirm to manually remove offline transactions.

Log upload

If requested by Support, you may need to upload a log file from your terminal.

  1. Tap Menu Settings.

  2. Enter the password.

  3. Tap Log upload.

  4. Tap Agree and Upload.

  5. When the log file upload complete, tap Dismiss.

Enable demo mode

Use Demo mode to train your team. Settle any open batches before switching to demo mode.  

To enable demo mode, from the Settings menu tap Enable demo mode.  When demo mode is enabled, the demo mode watermark appears on the screens.
