Reset your point of sale application
If you are having an issue with registering/re-registering a payment terminal or peripheral device, it may be necessary to reset your point of sale application.
- On the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
- Enter the password pax9876@@, tap the green check button, then tap OK.
- Scroll down and tap Apps.
- Tap the application name to enter into the application profile.
- Tap Force Stop to stop the application's actions.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear data.
- Return to the Home screen.
- Tap the application name.
The application will launch and the registration screen will appear.
Restore factory default settings on your payment terminal
If you are retiring or disposing of a device, it is recommended that you remove all personal and application data by restoring the payment terminal to its factory settings.
WARNING! Do not dispose of lithium batteries in household trash or recycling bins. Recycle batteries through an approved collection or recycling program in accordance with local regulations.
IMPORTANT!
Do not proceed unless instructed by Customer Support. A Factory Reset will completely erase all device settings, configurations, and attributes. This action should only be performed when permanently removing the device from your business.
- On the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
- Enter the password pax9876@@.
- On the Settings screen, scroll to down to Personal and tap Backup and reset.
- Tap Factory data reset.
- Tap Reset Device (or Reset POS for A-series devices).
- Tap Erase Everything.
The reset process will begin immediately. Once the payment terminal restarts, no additional applications should be present.
