How to create and manage floor plans in the Restaurant Point of Sale app

In Table Service mode, you can create a floor plan for each room of your restaurant from your POS.

Navigate the Floor Plan

Use the following to navigate tables and tabs on your floor plan:

  • To see all rooms within the floor plan, pinch two fingers together on the device screen.
  • To select a room, tap the room on the floor plan screen.
  • To move from one room to another on the device, swipe right to left or left to right.

Create your Floor Plan

You can add multiple rooms to your floor plan, add tables and even add objects to your plan.

To add a room to your floor plan
  1. From the From the Point of Sale app slide-out menu ☰,  tap Edit Floor Plan. The editing options appear in the slide out menu on the left.

  2. In Edit Floor Plan, tap Add Room.

  3. Type a name for the room.
  4. (Optional) Tap Load Image button to select a background image for the room. You can choose one of the predefined images or one from your device library. Tap the checkmark when done.

  5. Repeat steps to add rooms for each room in your restaurant. 
  6. When finished making all changes, tap Apply Changes from the slide out menu. Then tap Apply to confirm changes.

To add tables to a room

Once you have created a room on your floor plan, you can add tables.

  1. From the From the Point of Sale app slide-out menu ☰,  tap Edit Floor Plan. 
  2. In Edit Current Room, tap Add Rectangular Table or Add Circular Table to add a table to the room.
  3. Name the table and select the number of seats for the table. Tap the green checkmark button when finished.

    NOTE: By default, the system assigns the table the next available table number and assigns four seats to each table.

  4. Repeat for as many tables as you need for the selected room. As tables are added, they will appear on your floor plan. You can modify the placement of the tables on your floor plan, and resize the table.
    • To change the placement of a table, touch the table and drag it to the desired location in the room.
    • To rotate the table, tap the table then touch one of the blue circles and rotate the table in the desired direction.
    • To resize the table, tap the table then touch one of the blue arrows and drag it in a direction to lengthen or shorten the table.
  5. When finished, tap Apply Changes in the slide out menu and then tap Apply to confirm the changes.
To delete a room in the floor plan
  1. Tap a room from the floor plan.
  2. From the From the Point of Sale app slide-out menu ☰,  tap Edit Floor Plan.
  3. Under Current Room, tap Delete Room.
  4. Tap Yes to confirm removing the room. 
To rearrange a room
  1. From the From the Point of Sale app slide-out menu ☰,  tap Edit Floor Plan.
  2. Tap Rearrange Rooms.

  3. Press on a room to drag and drop rooms to the desired location.

  4. Tap the checkmark when done.
  5. When finished making all changes, tap Apply Changes from the slide out menu. Then tap Apply to confirm changes. 
To manage objects in a room
  1. Tap a room from the floor plan
  2. From the Point of Sale app slide out menu, tap Edit Floor Plan.
  3. Under Current Room, tap Add Object, then choose an object:
    1. By default, a short wall is added. Press and hold to select a different object.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Load Image, then select an image from the device library or from predefined images. 
    4. Tap Done.
  4. When finished, tap Apply Changes in the slide out menu, then tap Apply to confirm the changes.
