Payments App Batch Close

If your business is not set up to automatically batch out, you will need to manually close a batch at the end of your business day to clear the terminal memory. If your business uses adjusted tips, complete all tip adjustments prior to closing the batch. 

To manually close a batch

1. If applicable, finalize tip adjustments.
2. Tap Payments app.
3. Tap FUNC tab. You may need to swipe the terminal display right or left.
4. Tap Batch.
5. If prompted, enter your password.
6. Tap Batch Close. The batch is closed.
   • If untipped transactions are present, tap Cancel and process the untipped transactions prior to closing the batch. If you choose to close the batch with untipped transactions, you will not be able to add them later. 
7. Tap OK.

IMPORTANT!  
Do not close a batch when there are open pre-authorizations in the batch.
