How to view and manage customer notes in either the Point of Sale app or in Back Office
You can record detailed notes related to a customer, such as special shipping instructions, a birthday, or another important date reminder to build a stronger relationship with your customers. Customer notes can be viewed and managed in both the Back Office and in the Point of Sale app. Additionally, a Customer Notes report is available.
- To manage customer notes in the Back Office
- In the Back Office, select the Customers tab to view the list of your customers.
- Select the Customers subtab.
- Select a customer to open the Customer Detail screen.
- Click the Notes link or the Customer Notes tab to view the notes for the selected customer. If there are multiple notes, the most recent note is at the bottom of the list.
- To add a customer note
- Click the Add Note button.
- Enter your comment about the customer in the Customer Note field.
- Click Save Changes to save the new note.
- To edit a customer note
- Click on the note and edit the information.
- Click Save Changes.
- To delete a customer note
- Select the note and click the Delete Note button on the right side of the screen.
- Click OK to confirm.
