How to look up item details in the Point of Sale app

What's in this article?

You can view all information associated with an item including pricing, tax category, variation and more. Tap the information icon to view all variations associated with an item.

To look up an item using search 
  1. Open the Point of Sale app on your device.
  2. From the Point of Sale app slide-out menu ☰,  tap Items under the Lookup function.

  3. Tap the Search bar, enter the item name or part of the item's description, scroll through the results and tap the item you are looking for. Tapping the item will add it to the ticket.
      

To look up item detail from a ticket
  1. After adding an item to a ticket, tap the item to open addition tab options.
  2. Tap the Item Details tab.
  3. Tap Close to return to the menu screen.
To look up an item using a barcode or SKU/PLU 
  1. From the order entry screen, tap the barcode icon.

  2. Type in or scan the complete barcode, or SKU/PLU code, and tap Done. 

  3. If the barcode is found, it will directly add the item to the ticket. If the barcode is not found refer to the Handheld Barcode Scanner Setup and Troubleshooting article for more details on the barcode not found error.
