Power on the Mobile Card Reader D135 on the charging base

You can power on the Mobile Card Reader D135 while it is on the charging base by pressing the side power button on the base. You can take a payment with the Mobile Card Reader D135 while it is on the charging base, including using the EMV card reader. For EMV, insert the card through the cap, if it is installed, and into the Mobile Card Reader D135; for other card payment methods, proceed as normal by swiping the magnetic stripe or holding the card near the front of the Mobile Card Reader D135.

NOTE:
If using the cap, ensure that the cap is lined up with the slot on the Mobile Card Reader D135 or the EMV slot will not allow the card insertion.

Troubleshoot charging

If the Mobile Card Reader D135 is not charging, check the following:

  • Is the USB-C cable connector plugged securely into the back of the charging base?
  • Is the USB-A cable connector plugged into the AC adapter or into a USB power source?
  • Is the AC adapter plugged into a wall socket? If so, is the wall socket working properly?
  • Are the cables frayed or cut? If so, please replace charging cable, which can be purchased at most retail outlets.
  • Does the reader have any lights on when placed on the charging base?
