How to recall a ticket that has been placed on hold, and reprint and email receipts, in the Essentials, Essentials Light or Retail App

You can easily recall tickets after they are put on hold. Tickets are held on the device, so you can only recall a ticket from the same device it was created on. The Recall/Reprint button is available only if there are no items on the current ticket.
- To recall a held receipt or sale
- Open the app on the device that the ticket is held on.
- Tap Recall/Reprint at the bottom of the Ticket Entry screen.
- Select a tab based on ticket status: Holds, Completed or Orders.
- Locate and tap on the ticket you want to recall on the Recall/Reprint screen.
- Tap one of the following options:
Recall and reprint options and their descriptionsOption | Description |

Recall | Recall a held ticket. This places the ticket back into active status where you can remove, add, or edit items on the ticket. |
Receipt | Reprint or email the ticket. The system will reprint the ticket with the word "HOLD" shown prominently at the top of the receipt. |
To Kitchen | Resend the ticket to another receipt printer. Select the printer where you want to re-send the ticket. This is mostly used by restaurants to send a kitchen "chit". The kitchen chit will display a re-sent message to alert the kitchen that this is a duplicate ticket. |
Clear | Clear the selected held ticket. Tap Yes to confirm the clear. |
New Copy | Create a new ticket with the same items. |
- To reprint/email receipts
- From the slide-out menu ☰, tap Recall/Reprint.
- Under Completed Tickets, tap the ticket to reprint or email it.
- Do one of the following:
- To print the receipt
- Tap the customer for whom you want to print the receipt.
- To edit the customer information prior to printing the receipt, tap to the right of the customer name.
- To email the receipt
- Tap the customer for whom you want to email the receipt.
- To edit the customer information prior to emailing the receipt, tap to the right of the customer name.
