- Enable Sleep Mode, if not already enabled.
- On the Home screen, tap Settings.
- Enter the password.
- Tap Security.
- Scroll to Screen Security section and tap Screen Lock.
- Set a password type: Swipe, Pattern, PIN, or Password.
- Set the password for the type selected, such as entering a PIN number if PIN is selected.
- Tap Automatically Lock and then choose a time period to wait before the terminal locks.
NOTE:
You can set the terminal to sleep after a short idle time and then lock after a longer idle time.
