Getting started

How do I set up my Bank of America payment terminal?

Your Portable A920 terminal is shipped to you with the POS Bridge application preloaded and ready to use for Pay at Counter transactions. See the POS Bridge Solution for Oracle Simphony Activation and Configuration steps to set up the terminal.

To enable Pay at Table transactions, additional configurations can be set for your terminal upon request.  If you wish to enable Pay at Table contact us.

Can I use digital wallets?

Yes. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Wallet are supported.

Who can help me with POS Bridge features, settings, or configuration?

Bank of America provides assistance for any questions or issues related to POS Bridge. Any questions related to Oracle Simphony should be directed to your Oracle provider.

Error messages

I am receiving a "Posting Failed" error after receiving a "Transaction Success" message. Why is this happening?

The error message is most commonly caused when you are attempting to close a check in Pay at Table, and the check is currently open or has already been closed on Simphony POS.

If the message is received, you have two options:

  1. Tap Try Again to retry the transaction. If you still receive the error message, contact us.
  2. Tap Continue to process a reversal if the check has already been closed, and avoid the customer being charged twice.

IMPORTANT! A check should only be open in either Pay at Table or on Simphony POS. Checks should not be open simultaneously in both.

I am receiving the sign-in screen when I go to use Pay at Table. Why is this?

If you are receiving the sign-in screen for Pay at Table, it indicates that you have not used Pay at Table for at least 28 days and you must tap Sign In. If you are still unable to sign in, and you receive the error message "POSBEP-10003" or "POSBEP-10009", contact us.
