How to troubleshoot tip enablement for Essentials or Restaurant Solution

To accept tips using a POS Software solution like Essentials or Restaurant, ensure the following configuration is complete:
1 Enable tipped transactions in Back office
The Back Office must be set up to accept tipped transactions. Your Credit Card Tips setting in Payment Methods should be set to Accepted. See Back Office Payment Methods for more details.
2 Configure your receipt for the tipping method
Confirm that the receipt is configured for your tipping method:
- Inline Tipping
If using inline tipping, the receipt can be configured with up to three suggested tip amounts or percentages to display to customers when capturing their signature on the POS. The preset tip amount buttons are defaulted to 15%, 18% and 20%. See Point of Sale Preset Tip Amounts for more information. - Tip Adjustment Tipping
If using the tip adjustment method, the receipt needs to print with a tip line and signature line to allow your customer to add a tip after the sale. Configure your Point of Sale app to print the receipt with the tip and signature line:

Essentials Light supports Inline tipping only.
