How to assign an order to a loyalty account and redeem loyalty points

Customers in your active loyalty program can start earning loyalty points and redeem them for rewards. Points earned from purchases are instantly added to their member profiles and can be redeemed for gift cards, special items or discounts on future transactions. When enabled in your receipt settings, a customer's current point balance will be reflected at the bottom of their receipt. 

Earn Loyalty Points

A loyalty customer must be assigned to a sale in order to earn the loyalty points from their purchase. If an order was completed with no loyalty customer assigned to it, you will be prompted to add or create a new customer at the end of the sale. A recent transaction from the past 24 hours can be recalled to assign a loyalty customer to it. For anything beyond 24 hours, points will need to be manually added to a customer profile in the Point of Sale Solution Back Office.

  • This is how you assign a loyalty customer to a sale to earn the loyalty points from their purchase at the start of the sale.
  • Open the Point of Sale Solution application and click the Orders tile. Click the Loyalty icon, the top right corner of the orders screen.
  • In the customer window, enter a customer's name, email, or phone number, and click the search icon. If the customer is not found, they must be created before proceeding.
  • In the customer window, click the select button, aligned to the correct customer. This assigns the selected customer to the order.

  • In the Loyalty window, enter the customer's name, email, or phone number, and select the search icon. If the customer is not found, they must be created before proceeding.

  • This is how you can assign a loyalty customer to a completed sale to earn their loyalty points by recalling the order.
  • In the order screen, select menu, select history, select the ticket number that is aligned to the desired order.
  • In the details window, click the Loyalty button. In the customer window, enter the customer's name, email, or phone number, and click search. If the customer is not found, they must be created before proceeding.
  • Click the select button, aligned to the correct customer. This assigns the selected customer to the order.

To assign customer loyalty at the start of a sale

  1. In the Point of Sale Solution App, tap Orders.

  2. Tap Loyalty.

  3. Enter the customer name, email, or phone number and tap the Search icon. If the customer is not found, create a new customer.

    To create a new customer


    1. Tap Create Customer.

    2. Complete the customer information fields.

    3. Tap Save.

  4. Tap Select to select the correct customer.

To assign customer loyalty at the end of a sale

  1. After accepting payment, a prompt to assign a customer to the sale appears. Enter the customer name, email, or phone number, then tap the Search icon.

  2. Tap Select to choose the customer.

NOTE: 
If your hardware setup includes a customer-facing screen, the customer will be prompted to look up their own profile by searching their email or phone number.


To assign a loyalty member on a completed order

You can assign loyalty points to an order after it has been completed by recalling the order. 
  1. From the Orders menu, tap History.

  3. Tap Loyalty.

  4. Search for the customer or create a new customer.

  5. Tap Select.

Redeem Loyalty Points

A client can redeem a discount, gift card, item, or punch card, at the register when they have earned up enough loyalty points for the reward.

  • In the Point of Sale Solution application, tap the order's tile, tap the loyalty icon in the top right corner of the order screen.
  • In the customer window, enter the customer's name, email, or phone number and tap search.
  • Tap the select button, aligned to the correct customer. This assigns the selected customer to the order.
  • Tap the loyalty icon again to open the customer's loyalty profile. In the loyalty window, select the reward the customer would like to redeem, then tap Done. Complete the customer's order as normal.

To redeem loyalty points

  1. In the Point of Sale Solution App, tap Orders

  3. Enter the customer name, email, or phone number and tap the Search icon.

  4. Tap Select.

  5. In the order screen, tap Loyalty to pull up the assigned customer's profile.

  6. Tap Redeem on the desired item.

  7. Tap Done.

  8. Continue with the customer order like normal.
