Description
What's in this article?
SoftPoint is cloud-based middleware that enables compatible restaurant/QSR and retail POS systems to work with Merchant Services through Bank of America. SoftPoint can also integrate e-commerce with these POS systems for an omni-channel customer and client experience.
Requirements
In addition to a Merchant Services account with Bank of America, the following are required to activate the solution:
- A Bank of America payment terminal: Portable A920, Portable A60, and/or Countertop A80
- SoftPoint middleware software
- A compatible POS system
Set up the A920, A60 or A80
To set up the A920, A60, or A80
- Connect the payment terminal to your router using an Ethernet cable or through Wi-Fi.
- Learn more about your payment terminal:
IMPORTANT!
Once the payment terminal has been set up, contact SoftPoint for assistance with connecting the terminal to the POS system, running test transactions, and training on your new configuration.
Run a test transaction through the payment terminal
To run a test sale transaction directly on a payment terminal, without the assistance of SoftPoint, you can use test credit cards to swipe/insert/tap the card on the Bank of America payment terminal. Test credit card numbers can also be used to test a manual sale transaction. The configuration can also be tested with live transactions and live cards.
Refer to Payments App Sale for more assistance on running a test transaction directly through the payment terminal.
Disconnect payments through Bank of America
If you need to disconnect payments through Bank of America, contact SoftPoint for assistance.
